"The banner drop as not an official action of MSU SDS, but it is quite possible that it was the work of an autonomous splinter group who were inspired by SDS’s politics of empowerment."
The banner remained in its place for about six hours before the wind began to blow it down. Then, a group of belligerent people tried to run away with the banner. Luckily, the banner was rescued by an SDS sympathizer and remains in safe hands until another opportunity arises to use it.
